More snow pics

I have no idea what Sam and Gabby are looking at. Maybe they were just frozen solid. That's Katie on the right in the pink jacket making snow angels. To think 3 years ago, all she would do is eat the snow! Yuck!

It snowed in North Carolina!!!!!

We totally enjoyed the one snow day here in 2 years in North Carolina! Our blended family, (the Day family) enjoyed throwing snowballs and making snow angels.

You never know........

Waking up today I wonder what adventure I will encounter.

I open my eyes to the new light of the day that brings hope.

The covers come off slowly, I stretch my eyelids to see even further.

Putting one foot on the floor at a time, I begin a new day of life; again.

I wake my lovely ladies and watch them wriggle and writhe.

A few tickles, a few giggles, then time to get them on the go.

Normal routine, the hair, the clothes, the teeth and grub,

My coffee, my cigarettes, the stroller, THANK GOD NO SNOW!

It's back to my castle where the teenage prince rests.

The alarm has been going off for I don't know how long now.

It's just great to wake a teenager when all they want to do is sleep.

But here in my Castle, you get up right now or you'll get beat.

Once he is up he's on it. Cologne, shaving and all.

Boy what a

-Okay- So as I was getting deep into thought doing my quiet thing at night, the joys of parenthood struck fast and furious. Apparently there has been a mean 24 hour virus going around and all the girls complained of not feeling well. So I made them all a bed downstairs and they all fell asleep. Carly went first so I ran her upstairs and gave her a warm bath and washed her all off, changed her p.j.s and made a clean bed for her. No sooner did I lay her back down, Katie was next. She totally missed the trash can. Change of bedding again, quick shampoo of the rug, and Carly is dry heaving now. Sam is still in the clear but tummy still hurting. Thank God for all those extra blankets and sheet sets I kept over the years. Now I only wish I had one of those high speed, super huge capacity washers and dryers.

Guess it's time for me to wait for the next mad rush to the toilet and blanket closet.----sigh....I hate it when my babies are sick.

Just some last minute thouhts before I hit the hay...

Just wanted to give a shout out to my awesome husband who only has 12 working days left in the Army. I am so proud of you honey!

And to my first born, Corbin. What we went through last night I never want to go through again. I love you so much and to be without you in my life would tare me to pieces. I know you can do it Corbin I see it in your will and your strength. You will not only surpass my expectations, but those of others too. I believe in you with all my heart and when you read this.... know that I will never give up on you.

And to all the other family members in Ohio-We wish you a wonderful and Happy New Year. May all your children be happy and healthy and your lives full of joy and laughter.
